Finally got out on the yak on Sunday. Launched off ski beach. So many kooks on the water. It’s so dangerous. I finally anchored myself near the rocks in the no wake zone. Didn’t help that I skunked too. Keep up the great content and awesome baits.

Yes that area is wide open for skiers and jet skiers. Nice halibut it had been caught before I could see the splits in its tail from being netted by a course net. I finally got a better net for them. At least someone else release d the short too.

I typically let the non-fishermen have the main water from about 11am-5pm. Gets way too crazy for me even in a boat. In a kayak I would for sure be out of there. The one thing you can count on in SoCal is that other people don’t have any regard for what you’re doing

Afran- I’ve watched almost all of your videos and others with you as a guest like on Submission Fishing’s video. You’ve taught me a lot of stuff about bay fishing and kayak fishing. I have a kayak because of you. I buy Warbaits to give back for all the knowledge and entertainment. Only started fishing seriously about a year and a half ago. One video you were on MB and you said it was August or maybe September and you said that it was when summer fishing started for you because that’s when all the crowds die. Had a similar scenario Friday, lady with her kid pulled up right on me, and sat next to me for minutes taking selfies. Resorted to “offensive” casting on approaching vessels. Wish I got as many bites as you did.

Went to the barn kelp recently and noticed the keeper Calicos all had belly’s full of baby squid… The bite was non stop as soon as the bait touched bottom 🍻

The black Sea bass was cool. I remember one that was speared off bird rock in La Jolla in the late 60s or early 70s that weighed 442lbs. and nearly drowned the diver. You guys and gals did a great job on this video. Love the triples on the umbrella rig. Several huge bass! 😎
